A family brunch in a five-star Privilee resort is the best way to spend a day and end the weekend. Pay just AED 260 for the Soft Beverage Brunch Package and AED 240 for the House Beverage Brunch Package. Purchase the brunch through your app.

Where is The World Eatery located?

The World Eatery is located on the ground floor of the apartment blocks of Sofitel The Palm. For those who are familiar with the resort, it is next to Amura Kid's Club, opposite the family pool with the waterfall.

A quick way to get there is to ask if the team can take you and the kids over on a buggy when you arrive at the resort, my kids always love getting on the buggy! This is very helpful and makes life much easier.

What is the venue like?

The World Eatery is a family-friendly restaurant, with wooden tables, grey and orange fabric chairs, and shelves on the walls that are stocked full of cooking ingredients as decor. The place is made to feel very homey and cosy - like you've popped into your neighbours' place to have dinner all together with the kids. It's not like the usual 'big Dubai brunches', as the space is relatively small and intimate, we loved the feel of it - super friendly, too. You can read more about some of our favourite brunches in Dubai here.

Let’s talk about the food

Brunch features an international buffet with European, Latin American, and Asian favourites. There is a sushi station with salmon, tuna, and lots of vegetarian options. When we were there, there was eggplant parmigiana, nasi goreng, beef burgers, chilli corn carne, quesadillas and nachos, and chicken piccala, amongst lots more.

Kids are catered for excellently, ours loved the hotdog station! There is also the usual kiddie favourites; french fries, chicken nuggets as well as pizza, of course. And if your little ones aren't so picky, they can always eat everything else in the buffet selection, ours are big sushi fans so that was a winner!

What sort of entertainment do they have for kids?

There is a kids’ corner in The World Eatery which has various activities for little ones to get involved in throughout brunch. It’s a fantastic way to keep them occupied! There's balloon bending, arts and crafts, and face painting available - which is always very popular with my ones. In the same area, there is a play structure suitable for toddlers for age three and under.

Try to pick a table close to the entrance of the restaurant, if you want to keep an eye on the little ones in that area, as the kids' corner is in a separate part of the restaurant.  My little ones were in and out of that area throughout the afternoon - coming back each time with new artwork, a new painted ceramic turtle, and more! They loved it. Later on in the afternoon, there is a magician who goes around from table to table to do a magic show. This was fun for my eldest, who got to participate!

Overall thoughts

The Sunday Family Fiesta brunch is a brilliant one to do with the whole family, as everyone gets fed and entertained all afternoon.

In the cooler months, you could pick a spot outside for the afternoon which would be lovely and means that older kids could go in and out of the pool all afternoon. Mum and dad can kick back, and relax with a cocktail in hand before joining the kids in the pool whenever they are ready - perfect.

Best part? We get 20% off brunch with our Privilee Membership! It's amazing value for money.
