@LilOneOfTheAshes shares her tips on spending a day at Sofitel The Palm with little ones

Sofitel Dubai The Palm is a Privilee favourite, popular with families, couples and solo Privilee’ers!

Mum of three, Cindy, gives her top recommendations below on how to make the most of your day and your Privilee Membership at this gorgeous beachfront resort on The Palm.

Start with breakfast at Manava

Bring the family to Manava for a lavish buffet breakfast. If you want to maximise your Privilee day and get the kids out of the house super early in the morning - you can even get there at 6:30am and stay for breakfast until 11am. Keep the kids away from the donut wall though - they'll go crazy! You can consider skipping lunch after this.....

Top tip: Manava typically doesn't take reservations for breakfast. Give them a call in the morning to see if they take walk-in guests. Privilee members get 30% off on weekdays and 20% on weekends.

Kids under age 6 eat for free and you save 50% on full price items from the menu for kids age 6-12.

Playtime at Amura Kids’ Club

If it's still too hot for pool time, drop the older ones in Amura Kids’ Club for some air-conditioned, comfortable play time. Amura takes kids from ages 4-12, and if you have younger ones, you can stay with them there.

The kids will burn off all that breakfast with the multi-storey soft play area and the amazing team there usually get the kids dancing, or into arts and crafts as well! There are also lots of toys and games available to keep them busy.

Top tip: Prior booking is required, a maximum of 3 hours per child. Amura is closed for cleaning between 1-2pm.

Gym time for Mummy and Daddy

If you want to work off all those eggs, head to the gym together, located on the 'other end' of the resort from the Kids’ Club.

Top tip: The closest route back indoors from Amura Kids’ Club is through the entrance of So Spa. You can easily get lost in Sofitel, so try not to – especially when you’re there in the summer!

Break time

Amura shuts for sanitisation between 1pm-2pm so remember to pick up the kids then.

You can stay around the shallow toddler pools by Amura; the little ones can also play in the playground which is thankfully in the shade! An hour will go by real quick, and if it's still too hot to stay out, the kids can pop right back in at 2pm for more air-conditioned playtime.

Spa time for Mummy and Daddy

So Spa is one of our favourite Dubai Spas - Polynesian style with lots of foliage within, and the facilities are amazing! There's an ice cold plunge pool, a heated hydrotherapy pool and an 'experience pool' where you can swim around indoors.

The spa is located very close to Amura Kids’ Club, which is very convenient if you want to book in for a spa treatment while the kids are being looked after.

They have a couples treatment room if daddy and mummy want to get a massage together, afterwards you can both head out to the adults-only spa pool for a much deserved break, before spending the rest of the day with the little people.

Have a read of my day at So Spa here.

Top tip: Privilee members get a 30% discount on spa treatments.

Pool & beach time

When everyone is ready to play outside, pick a pool! There's one with slides - just remember that it is deep there - 2m in depth! The older kids would love this. There's also the pool by World Eatery which we love going to as it's usually quieter than the main pool, it has a mini waterfall and lots of shade underneath the 'rocks'.

The main pool is shallow on one end, gradually getting deeper to the middle with pockets of shade at the sides. If you can find a spot underneath the trees, it’s lovely spending the rest of the afternoon here as it’s a little cooler.

Dinner at World Eatery or Manava

We love heading to World Eatery for a bite at the end of the day, it's close to Amura Kids’ Club and is very family-friendly, with a small play area to the side which will keep the toddlers happy. The portions are fairly generous – we love their pizzas! If you prefer a buffet, head right back to Manava for a feast!

Top tip:

1. Amura closes at 7.30pm, whereas World Eatery and Manava both open for dinner at 6.30pm. This means that you could go and have a quiet dinner first before picking up the little ones later. I would suggest World Eatery for this as it's closer to the Kid's Club.

2. Privilee members get a 20% discount during the week and 30% discount during the weekend at World Eatery and Manava.

Hope this gives a guideline on how to maximise your day in Sofitel the Palm with Privilee!
