Let’s be honest, it feels a bit like Christmas break doesn’t it? Working from home, less stress and training in the comfort of your own home. Don’t get us wrong, we strongly believe it’s a time to slow down but you don’t want to start getting lazy. That’s why we’re here to give you some pointers on how to balance the chill with a successful plan going forward.
We think it’s pretty accurate to say that we’re all moving less, which means that we need to make a little extra effort to burn calories, as well as find the perfect balance between hitting your fitness goals and relaxing.
Our tips to balancing Netflix & movement:
1. Wake up at the same time every day
Get your workout going within the hour. Coffee in bed? Great! Coffee and Netflix in bed? Even better! But lets rather save that for the weekend. Getting your workout done in the morning will change your mindset and just create a positive vibe for the day ahead. Mark my words–you won’t regret a morning sweat!
2. Set yourself time slots to chill
That way, you’ll not only be way more productive in the time between, but you’ll look forward to your chill time even more!
3. Watch your calories
Netflix and chill or Netflix and munch? Yup, we know! That’s why they created the hype around popcorn and movies. It’s so fab to snack while watching your favourite series, but don’t let it get the better of you. So you decide – either snack whilst watching Netflix and make your 3 main meals small ones or don’t snack and have your normal meals as per usual. It’s all about calories in and calories out.
4. Follow a live IG workout to get you in the mood
It’s not Netflix, but it comes pretty darn close to entertainment, especially if you’re doing a workout live with awesome people (wink, wink).
If you do the above plus drink water, workout, give your body the nutrients it needs and double down on business – you can enjoy Netflix, stay positive and keep smiling!
