Yoga and fitness coach @Tranquil_Steph spent a dreamy Privilee day at one of the best hotels in Abu Dhabi,Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi, and tells us all about her experience below. Get ready for an unforgettable pool day at this majestic palace, offering something for everyone.

As you first enter Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi, you can immediately see just how extravagant the palace is. The resort is absolutely huge and you’re welcomed by lush green gardens which continue throughout the palace, and as you drive towards the East Wing pool entrance - which is where we were planning to spend the first part of our day.
We wanted to explore the Cascades Adventure Pool first to have some fun on the slides and chill out by floating along the lazy river. We unleashed our inner child on the two water slides! The first is an orange slide which is great for taking in views of the resort grounds. The second slide is yellow and fully enclosed. Both are super fun and get your adrenaline going - whatever your age!
Alongside the slides is a lazy river, perfect for when we wanted to relax and keep cool in the pool. There are also waterfalls throughout the pool and just like when you arrive, you’re surrounded by lots of greenery here too. I particularly loved this about Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi, as it makes such a nice change of scenery.
If you love the beach then the beautiful white sand beach is a must-visit!
The beach is 1km long, with a view of Qasr Al Watan and crystal clear water, making it an ideal spot for long beach walks (and runs!) or simply for a chilled day soaking up the scenic views and relaxing atmosphere.
After a morning spent by the pool, we headed for lunch at Talea by Antonio Guido, an Italian restaurant that is renowned for serving the best fine-dining Italian food in Abu Dhabi. I had actually been wanting to go here for a while, so when I found out that it was now available with Privilee, and even better, that I could also save 20% by showing my Privilee app - I had the perfect reason to visit!
We were spoilt for choice, so ordered a few things to share, a Diavola pizza, Burrata, Grilled Calamari and, of course, a selection of bread! I can confirm that this was the best Neapolitan-style pizza we have ever tried - even after a trip to Italy!
After lunch, we decided to try out the Las Brisas Leisure Pool. This pool is much quieter with a more relaxed vibe and a swim-up bar, so it is probably more suited to couples or if you want a few peaceful hours alone. The hammocks in the pool are super Instagrammable, and are a great solution to tanning when it’s very hot!
We stayed here for a few more hours and decided to end our day with some sundowners by the pool. The Pool Bar, Las Brisas, has a tasty menu with a range of food and drinks - we were full from lunch, but I can confirm that the cocktails are delicious! I had a ‘Gardeners Day Out’, which was the perfect end to a much-needed relaxing day in a stunning setting.
