I had always heard that Zabeel Saray was a stunning resort, but outside of heading there for various events, I had never had the chance to spend any time there. I can safely say that after the weekend’s experience, I will be heading there very, very frequently from now on.
Other than being incredibly picturesque, with its huge resort pool spilling out onto the well-kept sandy beach overlooking The Palm’s fronds, Zabeel Saray has quite an array of things on offer. As a parent, one of the first facilities I check on when it comes to a day out with my family is the kids club. What can I say? As much as I use my Privilee membership to spend time with my family, even just an hour of quiet time, while the kids are otherwise occupied is always something I hope for on the weekends.
Sinbad’s Kids’ Club at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray is one of the best-equipped kids’ clubs I’ve seen. Described as “an adventure playground the kids will never forget,” I can happily say this was my exact impression of Sinbad’s. A mini water park, climbing wall, playground, interactive gaming, and iPad stations, as well as a soft-play area and ball pit for the little ones. The way I see it, is with a kids club this good, everyone is happy!
But the main reason we head out together as a family on the weekend is to make the most of Dubai’s beautiful sunshine and enjoy the beach and pool. Both of which, Jumeirah Zabeel Saray excel in. The beach, boasting one of the more picturesque views on The Palm, is serene and yet full of activity. The pool caters to all needs, with shallow, shaded areas for little ones and deep, sunny areas for others. I like to describe it as one of the more calm and collected family pools, as although there are many children around, the area is so vast, it’s not super disruptive and boisterous. I might be a parent now, but I definitely remember my childless days of wanting to sit peacefully by a pool, so I’m always conscious of this!
I do feel I have to make a special mention of the finer details that Zabeel Saray touches on. The details such as, a pool attendant that passes by to clean your sunglasses and offer sunscreen. The offer of icy poles (as we Australian’s call them) or ice lollies if you’re a Brit. Enough bottled water constantly replenished while you laze around by the pool. For me, it’s these little things that often make all the difference.
On this occasion, we didn’t find the time to fit the gym and Talise Spa in, but we’ll most definitely be back to try them out. The gym looks well equipped and if the Talise name is anything to go by, I expect the Spa to be an incredible experience!
