Megan and Rebecca from @JustTwoMums have rounded up their top daycation spots and advice for planning and enjoying the ultimate family daycay. From packing pyjamas and water shoes to arriving early and bringing car snacks - they've covered everything!

Over to Megan and Rebecca…

The heat has turned up but don’t worry, Privilee has the whole family covered! Here are our top picks and tips for a family daycation in the UAE.

Hilton Dubai Palm Jumeirah

Go for: The fab service, the shaded kid's pool and the fully shaded playground, this beach also has some of the best marina views in town - if you want to grab some Insta snaps whilst you’re here!

Stay for: The water fountains along the West Beach boardwalk. These are extra special at sunset and the little ones LOVE running across them - a great way to burn some energy too.

Where to eat: Head to Jones the Grocer on the boardwalk, for a little change of scenery. They have a super kid-friendly team and menu so it’s sure to make everyone happy. It's also 20% off the total bill for one member and up to five guests.

What to pack: Water shoes for running down the boardwalk to protect their little feet.

Top tip: The weekend day pass at Hilton Dubai Palm Jumeirah is AED 150 and fully redeemable on food and drinks, so this is the perfect spot to meet friends (and convince them to sign up for Privilee!).

DoubleTree by Hilton Resort & Spa Al Marjan Island, Ras Al Khaimah

Go for: The free pirate-themed mini water park. With slides, fountains and nets, this is hours of fun for the kids and the perfect way to keep cool in the warmer months.

Stay for: The indoor pool, this is a great way to beat the heat in the middle of the day. It’s located right behind the infinity pool, and unlike a lot of other indoor pools, kids are allowed.

Where to eat: Check out the Italian eatery Vespa and get 20% off all your Italian favourites. Let’s face it, you can’t go wrong with pizza and pasta! Plus, they have a great kids’ menu.

What to pack: Car snacks for BOTH journeys, it’s about 1.5 hours from Dubai and it's so worth the trip, but you don’t want hangry kids before you’ve arrived!

Top tip: There are several pools to check out at this venue so there is no chance the kids will run out of things to explore - definitely visit if you’ve got little ones that won’t sit still! Try out the family pool, sea pool, main pool and indoor pool and you’ve got your day sorted.

JA Beach Resort, Dubai

Go for: The chilled vibes, the roaming peacocks and Just Splash Water Park.

Stay for: In the afternoon head to Pirates and Mermaids Kids’ Club, which is a firm favourite for our kids, who love the miniature golf and table tennis. Keep an eye on the boat beach from here, where people frequently go swimming with horses - super exciting to watch.

Where to eat: The Spanish tapas bar Taperia is always a success with our family. If you want more low-key, then head down to the Sports Cafe, both places offer 20% off the total bill for Privilee Members.

What to pack: Your camera! There’s so much going on at this resort that you will want to get some snaps for your family and Insta - whether it’s in the waterpark or spotting peacocks, endless photo opportunities await.

Top tip: If you’re heading to JA Beach Resort early, pay a visit to the animal discovery zone and bird aviary. Both are complementary to visit and are usually a bit cooler earlier in the day. It’s a nice way to start your daycay!
