Abu Dhabi influencer, fitness enthusiast and mum of two, Suzana is always on the lookout for new things to do with the family in Abu Dhabi, here she recommends where to go with the kids - enjoy!
Over to Suzana…
Spending quality time together as a family is really important to me, however, one of the challenges myself and other parents often face is “what can we do over the weekend?” - without spending a huge amount of money and making sure the kids enjoy themselves. Thanks to Privilee, we have so many options across the city to choose how and where we will spend our weekends as a family.
It’s that time of year where the weather in the UAE is perfect - having access to so many pools and beaches is a dream with Privilee. Plus, my son’s favourite activity at the moment is swimming so he is in his element! I also have a six month old daughter and we are starting to get her in the water too - the shallow kids’ pools are ideal for her!
Here are my top weekend spots in Abu Dhabi for families:
The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort
This hotel is great for the whole family, we love to come here for a day by the huge family pool. Younger kids can swim and play in the area with shallow water and for older kids or adults, there is pool volleyball available - which provides A LOT of fun for my son! It’s a great way to stay active at the pool, too.
Just a short walk from the pool is the beach - the kids love to make sandcastles and it’s great for me that I can run around after them to get my steps in. You can also enjoy the best sunsets here - it really feels like you’ve left Abu Dhabi and are on vacation! To end the day (by demand of my son!), we get popsicles from the poolside restaurant and bar - where we save 20% on food and drinks with Privilee.
The Ritz Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal
Without a doubt, Ritz Carlton has the biggest kids’ pool I have ever seen - it’s perfect as the depth is very shallow and it’s also shaded, so I have one less thing to worry about, the kids burning! Another reason we love to come here is because the kids’ play area is right next to the beach, that means my son can get involved in other activities whilst we are close by - and try to relax! He also loves the grass area, where he and my husband will often play football together - as you may have guessed, he loves to keep busy!
