Marina Social at InterContinental Dubai Marina
Ask anyone for their favourite roast in Dubai, and we imagine the name Marina Social will pop up plenty of times! The British restaurant is one of the best in town (and has the awards to prove it, having been selected for the Gault & Millau UAE Guide 2023), and the roast is a must-try. The two- or three-course lunch includes your choice of starters such as olive oil and rosemary flatbread, chicken liver and foie gras parfait, and partridge and rabbit terrine, followed by what we’re all here for, the roast. All are served with glazed roasties, Yorkshire pudding, vegetables and gravy, and you can choose between picanha beef rump cap, turkey breast, lamb leg and a delightful summer pumpkin ‘steak’. Finish on a sweet note with a dark chocolate brownie sundae, Italian maritozzo, or ginger Madeleines. The super roast is AED 250 for two courses and includes one drink.

McCafferty’s at Al Furjan Club
The Irish bar of the moment, McCafferty’s is packed with people every night of the week. Particularly so on Sundays, when the carvery is available. Priced at AED 125, you’ll get a bowl of freshly made soup, your choice between roast black Angus sirloin, stuffed turkey, or the Impossible roast (easily the best vegan option around!) paired with sides like cauliflower cheese, sage and onion stuffing, garlic and thyme roasties and more, followed by the dessert of the day. The roast (sans soup and dessert) is also available daily - so you can get your roast fix every day of the week - for AED 120 with a selected drink.

The Nine Gastropub at Sofitel Dubai The Obelisk
If we had nine lives like a cat, we’d spend every one of them visiting this British gastropub at the Sofitel Dubai The Obelisk. Pay a visit on Sundays and you’ll be able to enjoy a proper roast dinner, alongside seasonal vegetables, cauliflower cheese croquettes, crispy roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings. You can opt for a meat-free roast for AED 95, roast chicken for AED110, roast pork or leg or lamb for AED 130, or roast prime rib-eye for AED 145. Can’t decide? Grab two types of meat for AED 155, and add on a drinks package of four house beverages for AED 119, or two-hour free-flow for AED 179. This is another excellent option for those with kids, as little ones under five eat free, and those aged 6 - 12 eat at half price.

The Dubliner’s at Le Méridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre
Another friendly Irish pub, another fantastic roast. The Dubliner’s at Le Méridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre offers its roast every Sunday, with a choice of meat served along with all the trimmings, plus a huge buffet of cold cuts and salads. You can enjoy unlimited food with a soft drinks package for AED 125, with three house beverages for AED 190, or with free-flowing house beverages for AED 275.
