As you lay down in comfort, an expert instructor will guide you through a meditative experience that taps into the incredible power of sound to reduce stress and anxiety. I totally agree with this, I attend the Sound Healing Meditation class at Uform Gym once a week in the evening, and always notice how much better my sleep quality is that night!

What to expect

The singing bowls will be set up in the yoga studio at Uform when you arrive, for the most immersive experience, find a spot closest to them. If it is your first time, you can sit a bit further away until you are used to sound healing. Be sure to bring your yoga mat to lie on and if you want to, you can even bring a small pillow or sweater to rest your head! 

The instructor, Alex, is so skilled at playing the singing bowls - I love his classes. He will lead you through a relaxing yet invigorating class, starting with a fragrant drop of essential oil for your hands to soothe you. Incense will fill the room while light music plays in the background, and Alex guides you to draw attention to your body in the present moment and how you’re feeling. Once you are feeling calm, Alex will begin playing the singling bowls as you daze off into meditation. He will walk around the room and play instruments nearby you for an extra mesmerising experience. 

The class is an hour long, but it feels much shorter, the time just flies by! After class, remember to hydrate, and enjoy your restful night of sleep. I like to light my favourite candle when I get home from class and spray lavender oil on my pillow, ready for bed!
