T
hree gyms to try, recommended by two experts!

Fitness enthusiasts Chris Deerberg and Lena Dobschall give us their insights on three gyms they worked out at using their Privilee membership...

This week we have checked out three different gyms in DIFC that are perfect if you are looking to squeeze a workout into your lunch break or sweat it out after work!

All three gyms are evenly distributed around the DIFC area and easily accessible. There is something for every taste; a fancy gym, a functional gym and a more relaxed one.

The fancy one: Waldorf Astoria Gym

Located on the 18th floor of the Waldorf Astoria DIFC, this gym is a true beauty! It has a clean design and a luxurious feel.

If you like cardio and HIIT training, the machines and equipment offer lots of different training possibilities. Run away from your everyday routine on the treadmill (they even have 2 curved ones) while enjoying the view over the Financial Towers.

For those looking to do more of a functional workout, this gym might be a little bit limited, as it isn’t very spacious and the devices are not complete for a full body training.

Our verdict: We recommend this gym for light training after work, then hop in the steam sauna to sweat out any stress you’re holding on to.

The functional one: Talise Fitness Emirates Towers

Talise Fitness is conveniently located in the Boulevard of Emirates Towers, this gym has it all. By all, we mean every machine that you could imagine! There is a functional training area, free weights, cardio zone, the latest Technogym devices, group classes and even a separate ladies gym.

We love the style of the gym, inspired by an urban New York loft with cityscape murals and brick walls.

Our verdict: For those who are looking for a serious workout without the fuzz!

The relaxed one: The Ritz Carlton Gym

The Ritz Carlton Gym is a bit more intimate and the perfect place to go with a colleague or meet a friend. It is just big enough to work out in but quiet enough to have a conversation without loud music.

All of the machines are in good condition and offer diverse training possibilities. A highlight is the indoor pool which can be accessed through the changing rooms and makes you feel like you’re entering a day spa! Speaking of the spa, for an additional charge you can use the spa facilities which feature saunas and steam rooms, a great way to unwind.

Our verdict: Get a gym buddy and create a new healthy habit!
