ebecca & Megan from @just2mums share their eight top tips and handy tricks when Privilee’ing!

The reopening of pools has been a game-changer and our Privilee memberships have never been more valuable! Do you Privilee with kids? If so, we’ve prepared our ‘mum's guide’ to some of our favourite Privilee spots and top tips and tricks whilst Privilee’ing like a family!

Plus, in case you didn’t realise, Privilee has launched a new weekday 3-month membership, which is perfect if you prefer to Privilee when it’s quieter in the middle of the week! It’s just AED 20 per day too, more details are here.

Tip one: bring the nanny!

RIVA Beach Club has paddleboards for rent (with a free coffee for Privilee members to enjoy afterwards!) so it's the perfect opportunity to ditch the kids for an hour and get some time to yourself. In fact, nannies are complimentary at lots of the venues meaning you can grab a quiet few minutes or simply have an extra pair of eyes and hands to help you out whenever it’s needed most!

Tip two: get there early!

There are many pools that open early, we love going to RIVA and Fairmont The Palm because they open at 7am. A lot of resorts tend to get busy in the afternoons, so we highly recommend going out for an early morning session!

Tip three: go for shallow shaded pools!

When going with small kids, having a separate shaded kids’ pool can be the difference between a relaxing day and a stressful one. We love the shallow, shaded pools at Waldorf The Palm, The Westin, RIVA, Jumeirah Islands Club and Dubai Polo Club.

Tip four: stay for lunch!

Palm Avenue is an ideal poolside spot at Waldorf the Palm and Privilee members get 20% off too! The poke bowl is amazing for mum and dad, and the kids can share a portion of chicken tenders, the perfect size for two small kids to dig into. If you order two portions, we always ask for one with chips and one with cucumbers and then split the sides between the kids. It means everyone gets a bit less chips and a bit more veggies!

Tip five: leave the mini lifejackets at home!

Jumeirah Zabeel Saray and Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina have some on hand which is one less thing you have to carry. Say hello to stress-free swimming!

Tip six: walk on the wild side!

Kids love animals, so any resort that has a few furry (or scaly) friends is a family favourite. There are always horses to see at Dubai Polo Club, fish under the floor at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray and peacocks running around JA The Resort.

Tip seven: bring your camera!

Two of the most Instagrammable spots have to be the sea hammocks at The Westin and the marina skyline from Fairmont The Palm’s beach. It makes a perfect ‘wish you were here’ photo to send to the grandparents!

Tip eight: bring the buckets!

The beaches at Waldorf The Palm, The Westin and Le Meridien Mina Seyahi are great for finding crabs or starfish and the rocks at DoubleTree Hilton are always loaded with sea creatures too!  The kids will love it!

This summer may not be what many of us imagined but with Privilee, we can certainly make the most of our time in the UAE!

We’ll see you at the pool!
