Where to Park
As you drive into JA Beach Resort, there are signs for Just Splash. Drive towards it, and you’ll see ample parking spaces right in front of JA Beach Resort. Self-park and it’s a short walk towards Just Splash. If you are lucky, you will be able to catch the hotel buggies zooming around which can take you right there!
Tip: The bathrooms are in the same building as the check-in counter. If you need to get the kids changed – do it there! They do have showers as well.
Slides and aqua tubes
Let’s explore Just Splash, Splash Park! There are aqua tubes with twists and turns, slides, as well as a large soaker bucket. Don’t worry – there are sunbeds to the sides and parents are welcome to kick back and chill - if their kids allow them to!
Kids under 100cm are allowed in Just Splash Splash Park with adult supervision only. They are, however, not permitted to access the blue and yellow slides as per park regulations. They can still use the red and orange slides – which will keep them entertained, trust me! Plus there’s always the large soaker bucket which gets everyone excited. For the little ones who are scared of it – there’s the bell that dings when the bucket starts to fill up to the brim – so you can quickly whiz them away from the area before it tips!
For those of you who have older kids, you can leave kids aged five (if they are 120cm in height) unsupervised as there is a lifeguard on-site. Fabulous, right?
For the little ones
Families who have younger ones who are not fans of waterslides can take their kids to Just Splash, Splash Pad which is a quick stroll from the Splash Park. Both my three and five-year-olds love this area very much. You will be pleased to know that the Splash Pad is shaded and has lots of fun water jets and mini tipper buckets.
There is also a playground next to the Splash Pad. You’ll find swings, little trampolines, slides and horse spring riders. My kids love the car spring rider which can fit both of them!
Children under the age of five must always have adult supervision in this area.
Where to eat
One of the best parts of Just Splash, Splash Park’s layout is the beach bar. Sand Bar is located right next to it. Picture swings, beanbags, large comfy couches and sunbeds.
They serve light bites - burgers, hot dogs, nuggets, pizzas and more. My kids love their margarita pizza! Their fish and chips are also a winner – served with a generous portion of french fries. They do a delicious chicken caesar salad with yummy beef bacon and shaved parmesan as well. The great thing is everything is served in takeaway boxes which is super convenient when dining at the beach. Best bit? You can watch your older kids in Just Splash, Splash Park if you’re having a drink at Sand Bar!
Where to chill
If you want to relax, there are sunbeds by the beach in front of Sand Bar. The beach is really lovely there. The water is very calm, and there are lots of tiny fish and hermit crabs close to the shore. My girls can spend a whole afternoon attempting to catch the fish with their sand buckets. The fish are too quick, of course! My husband and I usually just sit back and chill, watching them try.
If you are lucky, you might be able to catch guests who have booked ‘swimming with the horses’ which takes place at the same spot. We have not done this yet but it’s on the list!
